InstroTek Model 3500 Xplorer is a nuclear moisture density gauge designed to provide superior performance, with design experience and expertise that is unmatched in the industry. The Xplorer is made to withstand the rugged construction environment, be very affordable and be easy to operate.

• The Xplorer 3500 uses Surface Mount technology with coated and sealed surfaces to better protect against problems caused by moisture and dust to critical electrical components.
• All electrical components have been engineered to increase dependability and reduce maintenance cost.
• Backlit LCD screen allows users to work at night or in low-lit areas without the use of external lighting.
• Thin-lift mode allows for density measurements of asphalt lifts up-to 4 inches thick, with entry of bottom density and thickness.
• Intelli-Charge monitors battery capacity during charging and automatically stops the Xplorer’s charging circuit once the Xplorer’s batteries have reached a full charge. Intelli-Charge also gives the user an 8 hour buffer after the low battery warning is displayed on the LCD.
• Scroll function-automatically scrolls through test results once the test is complete.
• Temperature sensors in the Xplorer 3500 ensure that the gauge is operating within the required temperature range, eliminating faulty and inaccurate results.

CPN MC-1DRP and MC-3SPI have been reengineered to better meet todays harsh construction environment. Electronic components have been redesigned to operate more efficiently and with increased dependability. LCD displays have been updated for better visibility and a larger operating temperature range.
